Odessa American used to be a locally owned business that cared about its citizens and local issues. This is no longer the case. They were bought out by a huge conglomerate some years back, as a result you have a narrative force fed throughout all communities, hence PROPOGANDA MACHINES. This conglomerate worth about 100 million dollars, AIM Media LLC, is located in McAllen Texas. We can attempt to shut this lawsuit down by un-liking Odessa Americans Facebook page, canceling subscriptions, messaging and emailing them stating our frustrations or calling AIM Media directly at 1-956-683-4000, flood their phone lines. I am urging citizens to take back authority for our communities. To create change we need people with courage and people willing to take 5 minutes to make their voice heard. We should not continue to foot the bill for a baseless lawsuit that has drug out 402 days costing taxpayers more than $100,000. The OA has missed filing deadlines and filed several continuances. They will continue to drag this out at the taxers expense unless they are stopped. The city’s only options are to pay them hundreds of thousands of dollars to go away or defend themselves. You cannot reason with them on this suit. I am asking you to reach out to the Odessa American and tell them to withdraw their lawsuit and move on. If anyone is guilty here it is the Odessa American. They are the ones printing confidential information of the victims. I found this to be a fact in their publications dated May 2, 2017, April 15, 2020 and August 31, 2021. Maybe the victims whose information was unethically printed on these days should file a lawsuit against the Odessa American.
